Welcome to the Dignity Letter — March 2021 — Good News in Hard Times

Dear All!

We are profoundly thankful to Linda Hartling for creating another wonderful Dignity Letter for us, full of information, all presented in dignifying beauty and with Linda's enormous artistic creativity!
Just click here and you can see all of the Dignity Letters that Linda has created since 2009.

All HumanDHS efforts are a labor of love — we are all Sharegivers! Linda has been deeply dedicated to the work of dignity for over three decades and she gives her time, energy, and loving creativity as a gift to the world. Linda wrote her doctoral dissertation on the violation of dignity — namely humiliation — in 1995, and she is the director of our global dignity family since 2003. She is like a gardener, a gardener of dignity, nurturing all people and projects that bring more dignity into this world.

We celebrate you, dear Linda!

In deep gratitude to you, dearest Linda

Dignity Road Report* - August 2020

Dear Dignifriends!

You might like to have a look at Evelin Lindner's essay Dignity now —  Forum contribution to 'After the pandemic: Which future?

First section of the essay: What We Can Do

We humans have dug ourselves into a multitude of perilous crises, both despite of and because of what we call progress. Still, few people seem to realize that we live in a historic moment of unparalleled promise. For the first time, humankind has the capacity to bring about the changes we need for a Great Transition. Unlike our forebears, we have the privilege of growing awareness of the planet-as-a-whole and the understanding that we humans are one species living on one tiny planet. The conditions are in place for nurturing mutual trust and solidarity as a global species, and acting to humanize globalization and reap the benefits that flow from our interdependence. [read more]

Let us never cease to feel compassion for those in want. Let us never tire of helping victims of injustice and oppression. He who puts his faith in the restoration of human dignity cannot be wrong.
